The Laboratory of Physical Education and Sport conduct high-impact scientific research and provide students with training and supervision in the areas of exercise and sport science.
We use interdisciplinary approaches to improve our understanding of the human body function and its adaptations to exercise training and detraining with a special focus on translating scientific knowledge into the real-world setting. These approaches incorporate techniques from the disciplines of physiology, biomechanics, psychology, motor control and learning, biochemistry and others.

To explore new ways of understanding and supporting the role of exercise and sport in promoting health and quality of life in individuals and communities, from childhood to the elderly, sedentary adults to elite athletes and healthy people to people with disabilities, chronic diseases or injuries.
